Thought I'd share the latest iteration of Crash Mapper, following in the footsteps of John Krauss and Transportation Alternatives. The work was sponsored by the non-profit Chekpeds, a group advocating for pedestrian safety in Hell's Kitchen. The vehicle collision data is generously being hosted by CARTO and is updated weekly.
Chekpeds and I are looking to add some charts showing trends for different parts of the city, as well as a mobile version (desktop & tablet only currently) in a future phase of work. We'd also love to hear any thoughts or feedback you may have.
