The last three terms of the Bloomberg administration have brought about many innovations, including the creation of inter-agency task forces. Within the digital sphere, two task forces that were created have been influential in developing policy, programming, and problem-solving.
Continuing the existence of the task forces is critical. Under a new administration, interlinking communication and data efforts are key. The two task forces: Data Advisory and Research Task Force (DART) and Social Media Advisory and Research Task Force (SMART) should have their best practices decompressed and be improved for the next administration.
